Basileus Music is pleased to announce the licensing of the Joseph Diamond single "L.A." from his Island Garden release. Jazz FM, the highly acclaimed jazz station in London, is releasing a compilation CD entitled Venice Beach that will feature such stars as Alex Bugnon, Ronny Laws, Maysa, Peter White and Lonnie Liston Smith. Island Garden in the sky
Island Garden will open the Northwest Airlines Jazz Show that will run on all Northwest Airlines flights starting January 2003.

Softcell Records, a Canadian label, will soon release an album of previously released Joseph Diamond music. It is called Breakfast in Miami.

KCCK 88.3 FM has placed Island Garden in its Top 10 albums of 2002 list.

Joseph Diamond's second CD Island Garden is at #41 (as of 11/8/02) on the JazzWeek Smooth Jazz chart, having entered 8/11/02 at #49. Island Garden was the most added release on the Jazz Week chart for the week of September 6, 2002.   It also is listed on the 8/30/02 JazzWeek Chartbound list.

Island Garden dominates internet radio.   Spinner.com, Radio@aol, and Radio@netscape are featuring Island Garden. All 3 stations have added the tracks "Montoya Mambo", "Anytime", "Black Cowboy" and "L.A." to their Top Jazz New Releases Channels. The same 4 songs, with the addition of "El Stupido", Joseph's breakout merengue feature, are in heavy rotation on the stations' Latin Jazz Channels.

Joseph was the guest artist on "Jazz Influences", hosted by Marc Copeland, on WFDU-FM 89.1 on Sunday, June 30, 2002 between 1:30-2:00 p.m.

Joseph appeared Thursday, May 16, 2002 on Today in New York, Channel 4 between 5-7 a.m.   He played music from his soon to be released second CD Island Garden.   The show was aired live from Coney Island as part of a special broadcast.

Joseph was the special guest of Vicki Sola, host of WFDU-FM 89.1, Que Viva La Musica.   The interview took place on her regularly scheduled weekly show on Saturday, May 11, 2002 at 1 p.m.   The audience response was fantastic, with many people calling in, a lucky few receiving free copies of Island Garden and Not Your Typical New Yorker. "Not Your Typical New Yorker" has just been released in Japan by C.O.A. Records. The dance label is planning on bringing Joseph to Japan for a tour in the spring of 2002.

"A Little Past Midnight", "Hope", "M&M", "Broken Heart" and "Florence" have been popping up as segue music on ABC News.
